What People Say About Us at Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home
Longbridge Deverill House and Nursing Home is a well established and respected care home. We are a small local family business with 30 years experience in the care industry. The report was a complete shock, but we must be proactive and move forward.
We are working closely with CQC and Wiltshire Council Quality Assurance Team and have already implemented a comprehensive action plan. We have the support of our GPs and external health care professionals. We have also received overwhelming support from our residents and relatives and many of their comments can be viewed on the independent website, carehome.co.uk.
We are proud of all the staff for the fantastic work they do, in providing a safe, caring and happy environment for our residents to live in.
We are looking forward to CQC returning shortly and are confident of a positive outcome.
Comments from the Wiltshire Council Quality Assurance Team Visit Report
March 2017 – Post CQC Inspection
“My observations of interactions between staff and residents were excellent. Very calm, gentle approaches used. Lots of encouragement and trying to divert or distract. Lots of chit chat, laughter and physical emotional support with residents such as hand holding, hugs etc.”
Social well-being visits and Activities records -“There are some really nice person centred statements and information. A really good person centred use of recording “a resident’s” well-being holistically. It really shows the human side. It gives a good balance to who “a resident” is as a whole person.”
